Dubai, UAE — Blacklight AI has been named Top Vendor – Security Operations Platform at the GEC Media Awards 2024, a recognition of the platform’s impact across the Middle East and the broader cybersecurity industry.
The award celebrates vendors that have demonstrated technical excellence, customer impact and innovation in security operations. Blacklight’s combination of unified SIEM, SOAR, UEBA and XDR capabilities, paired with native AI baselining and autonomous investigation, was singled out by the judging panel.
Why the recognition matters
Security operations is a crowded category, and most of the noise is about models rather than outcomes. The judging looked past the pitch at what the platform actually does in production: detect, investigate and contain without a queue of analysts in the middle.
That is the distinction we care about. An alert that is raised faster is not the win. The win is an alert that is resolved faster, with the reasoning trail attached, so the exposure window closes before an intrusion becomes an incident.
What it means for customers
For customers it is another data point that the AI-led approach holds up outside a demo environment: the same platform running across financial services, hospitality, critical infrastructure and government estates, on real telemetry, at real volume.
For the team it is a milestone, and a reminder of the bar. Recognition is pleasant. The number that matters is still how long an attacker was inside before we stopped them.
